Today saw a tough game against Oxford, and Chester, in an optimistic mood, went for a draw. Another one he didn't get - and surely it's about time he predicted a win?!

For today's game Chester predicted Cobblers to lose. At half time, with Cobblers dominant and leading 3-0, you'd have thought this was another prediction gone horribly wrong. Sadly, Cobblers imploded, Hereford scored four goals in the second half, and Chester's prediction came good.

Chester's back. That Liverpool result must've really knocked him for six! I'm sad to report, however, that Chester correctly predicted that Cobblers would lose. That's three on the trot now!

It looks like Chester had the day off for this one (as opposed to his usual off day), because after several searches I am unable to find a prediction from him in today's Chron.

Game 8 - Northampton Town 2-0 Bradford City

Four bad picks on the trot now for Chester. He said draw, and Cobblers went and won. And not only won, but scored two and kept a clean sheet. Long may this continue - for the results, not predictions!

PS Chester doesn't normally do cup predictions, but he got one right on Wednesday: Northampton knocked Liverpool, 2005's champions of Europe who at the time of the game sat almost 70 places above Northampton in the football league, three divisions higher, out of the Carling Cup after a thrilling penalty shoot-out in front of Anfield's Kop. Have THAT, big boys!

A bad day for the Cobblers (second defeat of the season) and a bad day for Chester (he said it would be a draw). Methinks both need to pull out their fingers! This is not the kind of hat trick at which Chester should be aiming.

This weekend you predicted a loss for the Cobblers, and they only went and racked up their first league win of the season. That's two wrong on the trot now for Chester.

Game 5 - Aldershot Town 1-1 Northampton Town

Unfortunately Chester thought it was time for a prediction of something other than a draw, and went for Cobblers to win today's game. And had there been only four minutes of injury time then he'd have been looking four successful predictions in a row, but Aldershot nicked an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury time to level the scores at one all.

Game 4 - Northampton Town 1-1 Wycombe Wanderers

It's a shame Chester doesn't do cup games - after knocking out Brighton earlier this month, on the 24th Cobblers travelled to the Madjeski Stadium and knocked out the Championship side Reading, winning 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw.

Anyway, Chester once again picked a draw and once again was right, as 1-1 was the score when Cobblers entertained Wycombe Wanderers earlier today. Four games into the season and no league wins yet - I hope this is only a blip!

Game 2 - Northampton Town 0-0 Accrington Stanley

Chester doesn't do cup games - on his Twitter page he says that they're 'a real banana skin'. So unfortunately he wasn't able to predict that Cobblers would beat Brighton 2-0 in the League Cup. A good result, because Brighton play in the division above Northampton!

So Chester's next game to predict was a 0-0 draw against Accrington Stanley. Chester predicted a draw, so: well done, Chester!

Chester predicted that Cobblers would win their first game of the season, away against Torquay. Unfortunately Cobblers went down 0-3. Not the most auspicious of starts for Chester or the Cobblers. Let's hope things improve!
